With a camera in hand since 2004, Devendra Gogate has spent nearly two decades exploring the wild corners of India and Africa not just as a photographer, but as a storyteller and experience curator. Based in Pune, he is the founder of Aranyamie Wilderness Safaris, where he channels his deep love for the natural world into creating meaningful wildlife travel experiences for others.

Devendra has photographed across most major Indian forests, as well as iconic African landscapes in Kenya and Tanzania, capturing everything from big cats and birds to reptiles and amphibians always with his trusted Nikon gear and a patient, respectful approach to wildlife.

His work has received recognition from leading publications, with special mentions in Sanctuary Asia (2008 & 2010) and a feature in Chiiz Photography Magazine, showcasing his eye for subtle, story-driven frames. While he prefers staying behind the lens, he is a dedicated mentor who offers on-ground, in-person learning, helping others grow their craft in the field.

Outside photography, Devendra is deeply curious about lesser-known landscapes and cultures. When not guiding tours or mentoring, he loves learning about unexplored destinations and immersing himself in the rhythm of nature.
