Wildlife Photographer • Tour Leader • Explorer
Nimit Bhatt is a Bengaluru-based wildlife photographer and experienced mentor who has been actively documenting wildlife since 2015. With a focus on mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians and big cats, his photographic journeys have taken him to renowned Indian forests such as Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh, Tadoba, Kabini, Bandipur, Bhadra, and Umred Karhandla Gothangaon.
He prefers shooting with Nikon gear, particularly the D500 paired with Nikkor lenses, capturing moments that have been featured on Nikon India’s official story, Woods of South India, Bandipur Tiger Reserve, and Ranthambore National Park.
Nimit is actively involved in the photography community - from participating in contests to being in the process of becoming a judge. His recent work was selected for “Consequat Reimagined 2.0” at ICCR, Kolkata. His work has been published in Explore Wild India Magazine 2020 edition.
Outside the field, Nimit works as a Senior Consultant in advertising strategy, and spends his downtime exploring nature, watching web series, and spending time with his family - his wife Mansi and their 10-month-old son, Shriyan.
He’s a firm advocate for wildlife conservation and the banning of plastics to preserve the planet for future generations.
