Workshop Overview:
This Workshop is a part of wild by nature's upcoming exhibition frames from the wild - edition ii, on day 2 this workshop will be held on art at central gallery as a part of our exhibition.
Wildlife photography is about far more than gear, checklists, or the right destination. The same sighting can yield entirely different photographs depending on how the photographer thinks — what they observe, what they anticipate, and what decisions they make in the moment.
This session draws on Samya Sengupta's experience across both terrestrial and ocean environments — work shaped by exploration, behavioural observation, and a deep conservation perspective. It introduces a cross-ecosystem framework that highlights what remains constant in wildlife photography, regardless of habitat.
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to observe, think, and photograph with intent — rather than simply capture sightings.
The session will also cover practical planning: seasonality, destination selection, budgeting, and choosing gear based on intent rather than convention. An optional interactive segment allows participants to share their own photographs for group review, appreciation, and constructive discussion.
